3rd Grade - Instant Poems

LESSON - Day 1
  • I bet you didn't know it, but today you will become a poet!
  • We will watch "Poems" on BrainPOP Jr.
  • Choose the form "Hello Spring" on Instant Poetry Forms and fill it out.
  • You will copy and paste your completed poem into a textbox on Kerpoof's "Make a Drawing." 
  • Format the text and create a picture around your poem!
LESSON - Day 2
  • Choose the form "All About Me" on Instant Poetry Forms and fill it out.
  • Copy and paste your poem into OpenOffice "Writer"
  • Format the font!

          4th Grade - How To Draw a Snowman

          LESSON - Day 1
          • Today you will watch "How-To Essay" on BrainPOPJr.
          • You are going to draw a Snowman on Kerpoof and write a "how-to" essay on how to draw your snowman.  THEN, you will switch your essay ONLY with a partner and see if they can follow your directions!
          • Today, you will draw your snowman - make sure you save it on your Kerpoof account.
          LESSON - Day 2

          • Using OpenOffice Writer, you will write an essay on how to draw your snowman.
          • Make sure to include lots of details!
          LESSON - Day 3

          • Today you will switch your essay with a partner.  
          • You will draw your partner's snowman according to the directions written.

              • Use these websites to look up information on yourself.
              • Using this information, you will write this information on Open Office Writer. 

              LESSON - Day 2
              • Today, you will use Kerpoof's "Make a Drawing" to create a self-portrait!
              • DO NOT put your name on it - print it and staple it to your paragraph!
